The nursery has also bought a couple of litter pickers which the children love to use. They mark on a list what types of litter and how much they have collected.

Fun in the Sun at Dundee

Little Einsteins in Dundee made the most of the warm sunshine last week. They took some of the furniture and toys out into the garden so that the children could enjoy the good weather and get plenty of fresh air.

Perth Nursery visits Camperdown Park

Posted by | Nursery News, Perth | No Comments

The Discoverers (age 1 – 2 year olds) from Little Einsteins Nursery in Perth took a trip to Dundee to Camperdown Wildlife Park. They had a great day out and enjoyed seeing all the animals.

P.S. The tortoise in the photo with the children is a statue! It had me fooled. The bear, the peacock and the meercat are real I am assured.

New Look at Little Einsteins Dundee

Posted by | Dundee, Nursery News | No Comments

Visitors to Little Einsteins Nursery Dundee could be forgiven if they don’t recognise the place following an extensive refurbishment inside and out over the past few months. The outside space is much more child friendly and the eye catching painting and signage to the new wall really brightens up this corner of Thistle Street. We would like to thank the children and parents for bearing with us through the refurbishment but the end result has been worth the temporary inconvenience.

All of the childrens’ rooms are now located on the ground floor with the upper floor only for staff purposes. The kitchen where all meals are freshly prepared daily, has been renewed and all play rooms have had a complete makeover with some walls and doorways disappearing.

Fire Brigade Calls at Dundee

Posted by | Dundee, Nursery News | No Comments

When the Fire Brigade arrived on some routine business at Little Einsteins in Dundee the 2 – 5 year olds were delighted to see the fire engine parked outside the nursery. The fire fighters were more than happy to oblige once their business was complete and as you can see the children quickly lined up for a closer look.

At Little Einsteins Hillside Nursery on Good Friday they judged the Easter bonnet and Easter egg decorating competitions that the children, with a little help from their parents, had entered. There were some great entries so it was very difficult to agree on the winners.

In the baby room Josh, Alexis and Duncan received prizes. In the 1-2 room the winners were Marco, Iona, Kellen and Ruairidh and in the 3-5′s room the prizes went to Jasmine and Niamh.

Kirkcaldy Nursery Silver Eco Schools Award

Posted by | Kirkcaldy, Nursery News | No Comments

Little Einsteins Nursery in Kirkcaldy has received a silver Eco Schools Award recognising their achievement towards a sustainable lifestyle. The nursery has focused on recycling, growing and biodiversity projects, led by Deputy Manager, Kirsty Haston, who has carried out many hours of research in her own time to help the children meet the objectives.

The nursery also had a visit this week from the Kirkcaldy MSP, David Torrance, who was interested to learn exactly how they achieved the Award. He added his own congratulations and told Kirsty that he has lodged a motion within the Scottish parliament to announce their achievement.
