All of the cakes were snapped up! So far we have raised a total of £65.00 for MacMillan Cancer Relief and The Brain Tumour Charity. We would like to thank all of the parents who attended and a special thanks to Ava Durward’s dad who baked us a lot of delicious cakes to sell to parents! As this day was such a success we will definitely be organising some more in the future so watch the space.

We had a surprise visit from one of our graduates Jasmine who came in to show off her school uniform – We are so happy Jasmine is settled at school and we miss her a lot!

A Day at the Beach

Posted by | Nursery News, Perth | No Comments

The Adventurers from Little Einsteins in Perth lived up to their name as they set off excitedly for a day at the beach this summer. Their destination was the lovely Aberdour Beach in Fife which was busy with holiday makers as well as the children from our nursery.

The children had great fun making sandcastles and beach combing along the sand for shells and buried treasure.

Graduation Celebration at Arbroath

Posted by | Arbroath, Nursery News | No Comments

Stacia Tauscher said, “We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.”

On 24th July we held a graduation ceremony for the children about to start primary school. Sara Gaton, new Manager at Little Einsteins Arbroath, would like to share her thoughts and feelings with all of you.

“As parents and teachers we do put a lot of time and energy into preparing our children for their futures. And rightly so. We do indeed need to equip our children with life-long skills to prepare them for adulthood. It is our collective responsibility as we guide and mould the leaders of tomorrow – for it is on them that the future will have to depend.

Today, as we pay tribute to the young ladies and gentlemen of tomorrow, we know that they have started their remarkable journey towards achieving this goal. This year has seen them grow and develop exponentially. They have learned so much. They have remained eager and enthusiastic and they have grown in so many ways. Our thanks and appreciation to all the teachers and the parents for the fantastic role that you have all played to facilitate this process.

Now, girls and boys…we need to tell you how very proud we are of you today.

You are all incredibly special people today, right now, as you sit here in front of us. You have all worked very hard to learn more every day, you have played hard, you have made new friends and you have all tried to be a good friend too. Well done and congratulations to each and every one of you – you can feel very proud of all you have done this year. Our young children will move into a new year – a year with new challenges to deal with. As they move into their respective tomorrows so bright with goals already achieved and more dreams still to aspire to, we say to them… “Enjoy being five today with all your heart and soul… and worry less about preparing to be six.”

Our children received their certificates and parents and staff could enjoy our time together in a nice meeting. Good luck for our schoolers!!”

The babies have been painting with a transport theme. The 1 -2 year olds have been focusing on the environment, planting flowers and helping to look after them by watering them each day. They made rain catchers using recycled plastic bottles. They hung them up in the garden to catch the rain water which they used to water their flowers.

The 3 – 5 year olds have been learning about Kings and Queens and have drawn a family tree of our Royal Family.

The Wise Owls chose cooking and baking as their topic and have changed the way that their lunch is served. They now make their main course choice from the menu and help themselves to the vegetables and salad. They also serve themselves with water to drink. They chose cooking and baking as their new project topic and had fun writing out the ingredients for a salad which they later made.

A “Berry” Good Time

The Investigators from Little Einsteins Perth had a summer trip to Cairnie Fruit Farm. They had lots of fun exploring the farm playing on the swings, zip wire, hay bales and the tractor and not to mention picking their own strawberries to take home with them.

It was a great day out in the countryside!
