December 2017 - Little Einsteins Nurseries
The kind-hearted staff at Little Einsteins nursery in Dundee decided to forego their usual “Secret Santa” gift this year and instead, spent their money buying gifts for less fortunate children in Dundee. Pictured above (l – r) are Ashley Middleton, Dawn Henderson, Jade Ireland (with Willo), and Danielle Clark with the gifts they have collected. Willo wasn’t part of the collection by the way – she belonged to Kiley, the organiser of the toy collection but Jade couldn’t resist a cuddle with the gorgeous puppy!
Well done to everyone at the nursery who took part and bought a gift for the local children.
We had a fire engine come to visit Little Einsteins Perth nursery which caused great excitement amongst the children. The fire brigade had a fire safety talk and then the children got a chance to sit in the fire engine.
There was huge excitement for the 2 – 5 year olds at Little Einsteins Dundee when the local fire brigade popped round to let the children have a close look at the fire engine.
We would like to say “thanks very much” to the Fire Brigade for making the childrens’ day!

We have all taken an interest in winter and Christmas over the past week. The children are hoping for snow which generated conversation about snowmen and lead to the staff and children creating some big friendly snowmen for our wall.
The chat continued with talk about outdoor clothes in the winter, hats, scarves, gloves and cosy coats.
The children then explored lots of sensory activities linked to Autumn and Winter. Such as oats, glitter, cotton wool, leaves, sticks and acorns.
The children and staff supported this year’s Children in Need appeal by wearing their pyjamas to the nursery. Parents baked cakes which were sold to raise funds totalling £65.01 Well Done everyone and thanks for the support and to those who baked cakes.
Little Einsteins Hillside nursery has been fundraising for Children in Need and raised £80. The children had a week of fun dressing up as superheroes and princesses, in their pJs and wearing something spotty. The children enjoyed making cakes to sell to their parents as well.
The 3-5s have enjoyed exploring loose parts play using the tubes to see the fastest route of travel for objects such as acorns and corks.
The 1-2 years room have enjoyed posting activities, so staff created a Christmas tree themed posting experience for them.
