A Walk In The Park

Posted by | Kirkcaldy | No Comments

The children in the 3-5’s room at Little Einsteins Nursery in Kirkcaldy have been taking weekly visits to the woods at the town’s Beveridge Park to explore and investigate in the woods. They have been learning how to climb trees and look for different nature objects.

The children have to listen and follow rules, learning about taking risks, while in the woods and they love having hot chocolate to warm them up when they come back to the nursery!

Little Einsteins Kirkcaldy Helps Nursing Home Residents

Posted by | Kirkcaldy | No Comments

Some of the children from Little Einsteins Kirkcaldy popped in to Methven House nursing home to help the residents with the art project they are currently working on. The nursing home is taking part in an exhibition of “Art in Care” in the Community Hub at the Mercat shopping centre in the town from 15th – 19th May 2018.

Here they are, painting the paper mache petals for flowers that will be one of their exhibits. The children had great fun helping and the residents loved having their “little helpers” visit them. The nursery children visit regularly and always bring great smiles to the residents faces.

The nursery plan to visit the exhibition when it opens next month.

Mums of the children in our Perth nursery were invited to join us for a Tea Party to celebrate Mothers Day on Friday 9th March. All parents were welcome to come along and join in with some party games with their children, have delicious homemade cakes and be gifted some fantastic presents. Lots of parents were able to join in with the fun.

Kirkcaldy Nursery Trip To Recycling Centre

Posted by | Kirkcaldy | No Comments

The children from Inventors (3-5’s) and After School Club took a trip to the recycling centre recently to recycle our cardboard and plastic bottles. They have been learning how it’s important to recycle so we took a trip there to show them what happens at the recycling centre.

We discussed all the different bins and how you have to make sure you put them in the correct bin. The children then helped to place our waste in the bins. Litter, waste minimisation and water have been our big focuses lately as part of our Eco Schools initiative. We were rewarded with our Green Flag award in 2016 and we continue to work hard to ensure we are still maintaining the eco standards, to keep the green flag flying!
